2023 has been a record year of catastrophes for the United States. Hailstorms, tornadoes, droughts, floods, and blizzards have devastated many cities. The FEMA Disaster Fund is slipping into the red. This is before hurricane season even peaks! In this year alone, there have been 15 separate billion dollar weather and climate disasters through July. This does NOT include the historic fires in Hawaii or the devastation in California from Hurricane Hilary. The money and loss of lives is only the physical picture of the state of America caused by weather; but what about the spiritual picture? Believe it or not, there is a spiritual barometer that God has shown us how to use. It is found in the pages of your Bible.

This week, “News, Nuggets, and Insights” shows just how the catastrophic weather ties in with other major events. In the light of God’s Holy Word, we see that these events are adding to the picture just like a puzzle as we approach the 2nd year of Joseph’s lean years. There are many warnings to heed as we move along with the biblical timeline.
