A SPECIAL TRIBUTE TO “THE GREATEST GENERATION”
THE “NEXT” D-DAY
It was June 6th, 1944, 80 years ago, when General Dwight
Eisenhower made the decision that would change the course of WW II. More
than 150,000 Allied troops were ready and waiting for the General’s now
famous words, “Okay, we’ll go!” Operation Overlord was finally underway. Bad
weather had delayed the undertaking by 24 hours and still, it wasn’t very
good. With words of encouragement and a prayer, the largest amphibious
invasion in history set out to end the tyranny of Adolf Hitler and Nazi
Germany.
This week, NNI pays a very special tribute to all
those who played a part in the D-Day Invasion. WW II could have had a very
different outcome if it weren’t for the character of ‘the greatest
generation’ and the hand of Almighty God.
Believe it or not, there is coming another D-Day; the day
when Jesus Christ returns and saves this world from total destruction. Join
us we expound the Holy Scriptures that point to a spiritual D-Day that
includes God’s elect, in this week’s “News, Nuggets, and Insights.”
